Officer Stewart was a young police officer who left the police force after the shock he experienced seeing Hannibal Lecter's basement. He became the manager of a motel.
When Will Graham comes to visit Hannibal, the doctor asks after Officer Stewart, and when Will says that he's fine, Lecter says "Unfortunate that his emotional problems got the better of him. I thought he was a very promising young officer".

It is unknown if Officer Stewart will appear in Hannibal.
