Prince Easter Mize had been a cleaning woman and aide in the maternity ward at City Hospital, Springfield, Missouri for 26 years when she saved the life of a baby, Francis Dolarhyde, who became the "Tooth Fairy" killer. Because of his cleft palate Dolarhyde could not suck and therefore could not feed, but Prince Easter used a rubber stopper pierced with a curved glass drinking straw to feed the baby using bottled milk.
In twenty-six years in the nursery she had seen about thirty-nine thousand infants.
